Favorite Christmas Reads

Okay these are three of my all time favorite Christmas stories.

Every since I was a little girl my mother would read our family the story of "The Happy Prince" on Christmas Eve.  It's a family tradition that we have done since I can remember.  It's a very touching story of true service, love, and sacrifice.  It brings the Christmas spirit into every home.  I love, love, love, this story!

This is another one of my all time favorite Christmas stories.  It's a beautiful story of a little girl who sees the true meaning of Christmas through her imagination.

The Crooked Swan is a remarkable book that my Mother has written.  This story will pull you and your family into the magic of Christmas. I have found that anyone can relate to this beautifully told story!

In the enchanting tale of The Crooked Swan meet Narissa, a young dancer with a slight deformity, and Kayla, an inexperienced teacher, who would rather be dancing in the limelight of a ballet company than working with children. Together they embark on a remarkable journey that neither one will soon forget as they discover within themselves the healing power of love and the joy found in unexpected friendships.

You can just click on the Amazon Favorites tab if you want to know where you can currently find these books.

Hair cutting 101

As a cosmetologist I love making people feel beautiful and doing my best to make it affordable for everyone to get their hair done.  I realize that at times people can be tight on money or time to get their childrens or even their husbands hair cut.  Many of my clients or even just my close friends have asked me to give them the 101 classes on cutting their children's hair.  I would love to do that for everyone, but unfortunately that would not be realistic.
It really is not that hard!  If I can do it, so can you.  It can be a forgiving talent if you learn and follow the basic rules.  I recommend starting on your children's hair first and graduating to your husband's.  Children are much more forgiving of the little mistakes. By learning how to do basic haircuts yourself, you can actually save allot of money in the long run.
In order to follow the basic rules I highly recommend getting a Haircutting for beginners book  So you have some guidelines to follow as you venture into this new found talent of yours.
I've been doing a little research on which books I could recommend and these are the two that I found.  Of course, you are welcome to search out a book that best suits you.  I highly recommend that it have pictures!!! There's that expression that "you can't learn how to ride a bike by reading a book.."  This is probably very similar. The pictures will help you better relate your knowledge into reality.

Sleep So Deep

Okay to get started I am going to post a few ideas.....

Lately I have had a difficult time sleeping so I want to share a little bit of my research with you.
When your talking to someone and they tell you how easy it is for them to fall asleep and stay asleep, and that actually makes you jealous... you know you need to be getting better sleep.  So I have been looking for something to help guide me into better sleep habits.  For many this is not a problem.  But for those special people like me, it is. Getting good sleep and being a good mother I have found have a lot to do with one another.   When I don't get good sleep.... my patience diminishes very quickly.  This book has highly been recommended to me... so if you're struggling too, you might want to check it out.
